No. 1 of 1926.

Notice is hereby given that a report has been received from Kowloon Customs informing that a loaded lighter lies a sunken wreck east of Kiao Lighthouse, Kiao Island.

From the wreck Kiao Lighthouse bears S. 80° West, distant 4 miles.

As only a small part of wreck is showing at high water, and, as it is not properly marked, the neighbourhood should be navigated with caution.

No. 704.-A qualifying examination for appointments of Probationer Clerks in Government Service will be held in Queen's College Hall on Monday and Tuesday, January 10th and 11th, 1927, at 9 a.m.

Intending candidates must forward to the Secretary, Subordinate Staff Board, Colonial Secretary's Office, on or before Monday, January 3rd, a certificate as to character and education from the Headmaster of their last school together with one unmounted photograph on the back of which should be written their name, address and date of birth.

Candidates who have passed the Matriculation or Senior Local Examination of the University of Hong Kong are exempted from this examination and should apply in person to the Secretary, Subordinate Staff Board.
