Rock, off the southern point of Da-chan-shan-tao, Elliot Group, was withdrawn on the 8th instant and the Koseki-sho Beacon has been established there as follows:--

The beacon is 20 feet high above sea-level and painted black, surmounted

by a black spherical daymark.

Furthermore, another black wooden beacon has been established on the branch shoal, N. 12° W. from Koseki-sho Beacon, distance 4 cables, 16 feet high above sea-level.

CHINKIANG DISTRICT.

Tungchow Beacon Moved.

Notice is hereby given that, owing to changes in the Tungchow Crossing, the Tung chow Beacon has been moved 8.5 cables, S. 61° E.

From the new position of the beacon, the Custom House tower bears N. 674° W. distant 2.55 miles.

All bearings given are magnetic.

Chart affected:-Marine Department Chart No. 3.

North Channel Entrance-Tsungming Crossing.

Change in depth of water.

Notice is hereby given that a re-sounding of the Tsungming Crossing shows that the most water obtainable is now only 6 feet at low water of extraordinary spring tides.

At present no other channel is available.

Charts affected :-Marine Department Charts Nos. 1 and 2.

Blue prints are obtainable at the Coast Inspector's Office.
