No. S. 271.-The following statement of the securities lodged with the Crown Agents by the Mercantile Bank of India, Limited, against their notes in circulation, is published for general information under Section 5 of the Mercantile Bank Note Issue Ordinance, 1911, (Ordinance No. 65 of 1911):-

No. S. 272.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of Clothing, etc., to the Post Office Depart- ment", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Saturday, the 30th October, 1926, for making up and supply of Clothing, etc., for the use of the General Post Office for the year 1927.

For further particulars apply at this Office.

Tenderers must produce a receipt that they have deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $25 as a pledge of the bona fides of their tender, which sum shall be for- feited to the Crown, if any tenderer fails or refuses to carry out his tender in the event of such tender being accepted.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.

No..S. 273. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Repairs to Blake Pier", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 18th day of October, 1926. The work consists of the deposition of pell mell rubble around the piles of pier, the reconstruction of the landing stairs and the renewal of members of piers above the level of low water. For Form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. S. 274.—It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for King's College Furniture (List D)", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 18th day of October, 1926. The work consists of the manufacture of 150 small tables.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
