A report dated 6th August, 1926, has been received from the Master of S.S. Halvard that the buoy inside Orange Island (approaches to Hongay) is missing.

A report dated 7th August, 1926, has been received from the Master, S.S. Tean that a direlict junk is floating bottom up just awash Lat. 21° 42' 30" N., Long. 113° 33' 30" E.

Normal character of Batticaloa Light to be resumed.
With reference to Notices to Mariners Nos. 5 and 6 of 1926, the normal character and visibility of Batticaloa Light (viz. Group Occulting White every forty seconds vis- ible 15 miles) will be resumed on or about 1st August, 1926.
Admiralty Charts affected :-
No. 2031 Ceylon East Coast from 7° 20′ N. to Point Pedro. No. 70 Bay of Bengal.

Light-ship "Taku" to be withdrawn.-Replaced by ice-breaker
"Feiling".

Notice is hereby given that the Light-ship Taku will be withdrawn for repairs on or about the 17th July.
After withdrawal her position will be marked by the ice-breaker Feiling which will exhibit the following signals:-
By day a black spherical day-mark.
