Oriental Rock Beacon,
Notice is hereby given that an unknown craft collided with and carried away the Oriental Rock Beacon this morning.
A temporary pole, painted red, has been erected on the rock.
The replacement of this Beacon will be effected as soon as possible.

Anchor and Chain recovered outside Woosung.
Notice is hereby given that an anchor, with 90 fathoms of chain attached to it, has been recovered from the river at a point from which Quarantine Buoy bears S. 65° E. distant 2 miles, and is now lying at the Customs property Woosung, where it may be inspected--
The anchor is of patent type, weighing 4 tons.
The chain is stud link 24′′.
If not claimed, and the salvage thereon paid within one month from the date of
this notice, the anchor and chain become the property of the salvor.

No. S. 108.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Wireless transmitter building in grounds of Royal Observatory", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 3rd day of May, 1926, for the Erection of all necessary buildings and Construction of paths, drainage, etc.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For Form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
