No. S. 107. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Bowen Road Rapid Gravity Filter Beds", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 26th day of April, 1926, for the construction of a reinforced concrete and brick Chemical House and six reinforced concrete Rapid Gravity Filter Beds with Contingent Works.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For Form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. S. 108.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Wireless transmitter building in grounds of Royal Observatory", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 3rd day of May, 1926, for the Erection of all necessary buildings and Construction of paths, drainage, etc.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

The Astronomical positions are approximate unless seconds are given. The bearings are True and in degrees from 000° (North) to 359° measured clockwise, and those relating to lights are from seaward. The visibility of lights is that in clear weather. Fog signals are sounded only in thick or foggy weather. The elevation given is the height of focal plane above mean II.W. springs.

AUSTRALIA QUEENSLAND.

Inner Barrier Route.

Pea (p) Reef-Beacon discontinued.

Mariners and others are hereby notified that the red triangular beacon on Pea (p) Reef has been destroyed. The beacon will not be re-established.

Position-On Pea Reef. Lat. 13° 33′ S. Long. 143° 39′ E. On Chart No. 3762. Description-A red triangular beacon.

Note--No further notice will be given.
