The Council met pursuant to adjournment.
MINUTES. The Minutes of the Meeting held on the 15th October, 1926, were: confirmed.
PAPERS.---The Colonial Secretary laid on the table the following papers :—
Resolution made by the Legislative Council this 15th day of October, 1926, under the provisions of section 41 (1) of the Liquors Consolidation Ordi- nance, 1911.
Rescission of two Orders made by the Governor in Council under the Merchant
Shipping Ordinance, 1899, on 14th October, 1926.
Notification under section 92 (8) of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance,
1903, on 9th October, 1926.
Notification re addition to the List of Places licensed for the Solemnization of
Marriages, on 15th October, 1926.
APPROPRIATION BILL FOR 1927.-The Colonial Secretary moved the Second reading of the Bill intituled An Ordinance to apply a sum not exceeding Seventeen million seven hundred and forty-one thousand five hundred and forty-three Dollars to the Public Service of the year 1927.
The Colonial Treasurer seconded.
Sir HENRY POLLOCK, Sir SHOU-SON CHOW, Mr. BIRD, Mr. BERNARD, the Colonial Trea- surer, the Captain Superintendent of Police, the Director of Public Works, the Colonial Secretary and His Excellency the Governor addressed the Council.
Question-put and agreed to.
Bill read a second time.
Council in Committee on the Bill.
On Council resuming, the Colonial Secretary reported that the Bill had passed through Committee without amendment and moved that it be read a third time.
The Colonial Treasurer seconded.
Question-put and agreed to.
Bill read a third time and passed.
ADJOURNMENT.-The Council then adjourned sine die.
