On all Chinese type spirits containing not more than 25 per cent. of alcohol

JAPANESE TYPE LIQUOR.

On all sake containing not more than 25 per cent, of alcohol by weight - For every one per cent, of additional alcoholic strength by weight

PART IV.

OTHER LIQUORS.

On any intoxicating liquor which is not specifically mentioned or referred to

in the foregoing Parts I. II. III.

Provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of Imports and Exports, in his discretion, to assess the duty on any such intoxicating liquor at such lower rate as is provided in Parts I. II. und III. above for the liquor which the Superintendent shall deem to approximate most nearly to such intoxicating liquor.

And resolved that on all spirits distilled within the boundaries of the Colony of Hong Kong_there shall be allowed a deduction of ten cents. per gallon from the duties heretofore enumerated. And further resolved that the resolutions of this Council which are set out on pages 440, 441 and 442 of the Regulations of Hong Kong, 1844-1925 under the heading "Resolution of the Legislative Council" shall cease to have effect on the coming into operation of the foregoing resolution.

The Attorney, General seconded.

Question-put and agreed to.

ADJOURNMENT.---The Council then adjourned until 2.30 p.m. on Thursday, the 4th day of November, 1926.
