Limit of aggregate of principal moneys.

3. The aggregate for the time being of the principal moneys outstanding and included in the trade loan shall not exceed the sum of three million pounds sterling.
4. The trade loan is hereby charged upon and shall charged upon be payable out of the general revenues and assets of general the Colony of Hong Kong.

5. The Governor shall appropriate out of the general revenue and assets of the Colony such sums as may be trade loan.⠀ necessary to provide for all payments of interest and repayment of principal moneys required by the terms of the agreements under which the respective principal moneys were or shall be borrowed.
Exemption

6. All principal moneys acknowledged by the from defence Secretary of State as coming within the provisions of this Ordinance, as provided in section 2, and all interest received by the Government of the Colony of Hong Kong on loans made for the purpose referred to in the preamble to this Ordinance, and all principal moneys received by the Government of the Colony of Hong Kong upon the repayment or recovery of such loans by the Government, shall be, and shall be deemed always to have been, exempt from the defence contribution provided for by the Defence Contribution Ordinance, No. 1 of 1901. 1901, and all such principal moneys and interest hitherto received by the said Government, or hereafter to be received by the said Government, shall be deducted from the Colonial revenues before the calcula- tion of the sums payable to His Majesty's Government under the said Ordinance.
