No. 475.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint THOMAS GRAHAM WEALL, Esquire, to be a Member of the Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, vice GEORGE WILLIAM SEWELL, Esquire, resigned.

30th August, 1926.

No. 476. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to accept the resignation by Captain GEORGE EDWARD SWINTON, M.C., 1st Battalion, The East Surrey Regiment, of his appointment as Adjutant in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 1st September, 1926.

No. 477.—His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to make the following appointment under the provisions of the Hong Kong Volunteer Regulations, 1920-

Captain NEVIL CHARLES DOWELL. BROWNJOIN, M.C., Royal Engineers, to be Adjutant, with effect from 1st September, 1926, and until further notice.

No. 478. His Majesty the KING has been pleased to approve the appointment of the Honourable Sir HENRY EDWARD POLLOCK, K.C., to be an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council for a further period of five years, with effect from 9th March, 1926.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT,

No. 479.-It is notified for general information that, under instructions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, the forms "Hong Kong" and "Kowloon" are to be adopted as the official spelling of names of these two places.

No. 480. It is hereby notified that pursuant to section 14 of the Medical Regis- tration Ordinance, 1884, Ordinance No. 1 of 1884, the Colonial Secretary has seen fit to strike the name of Dr. CHU HO-QUON off the register of medical and surgical practitioners qualified to practise medicine and surgery in this Colony, kept in accordance with the said Ordinance.
