GUANGDONG NUCLEAR PROJECT: REPORT TO PRIME MINISTER

As promised by Mr Manzie at his recent meeting, I enclose a copy of the report on the recent visit to China which the Secretary of State for Industry has been invited to send to the Prime Minister. We do not consider there are any contentious points in the report; it simply reports on developments and points out the areas where decisions will be required before further talks are held with the Chinese at the end of August.
