Home Secretary to designate a few additional categories closely associated with the work of HM Government abroad, such as the British Council and HM Overseas Civil Service as you indicated in Committee in the Commons on 5 March.

We set great store by the original intentions of the Bill in these respects, and I should be grateful if this could be borne in mind when we come to deal in Parliament with any amendments that may reflect on the position of Crown Servants, or of the categories we have undertaken to equate with them in the descent provisions of the Bill.
