In my reply of 3 April to your question about Crown Servants in the Dependent Territories (Official Report Vol 2 No 81 col 138), I promised to let you have the figures for the numbers of people in paid or unpaid service or any body established by law in each of the Dependent Territories, numbers of which are appointed by or on behalf of the Crown. We include within this definition local Ministers, appointed members of legislatures, Public Service Commissioners and members of Mercy Committees, Statutory bodies and public corporations as well as their staffs.

The information for each territory is set out in the attached list. The figures are as accurate as possible but do not, for example, take account of vacancies.
