(1) Commencement of the 1934 Act
ORDER IN COUNCIL APPOINTING AUGUST 16, 1934, FOR THE COMING INTO OPERATION OF THE WHALING INDUSTRY (REGULATION) ACT, 1934 (24 & 25 Geo. 5. c. 49).

PRESENT,
The King's Most Excellent Majesty in Council.
Whereas it is provided by sub-section two of section nineteen of the Whaling Industry (Regulation) Act, 1934, that the said Act shall come into operation on such day as His Majesty may by Order in Council appoint:
Now, therefore, His Majesty in pursuance of the powers conferred upon Him is pleased by and with the advice of His Privy Council to appoint and it is hereby appointed that th Whaling Industry (Regulation) Act, 1934, shall come into operation on the sixteenth day of August, 1934.

PRESENT,
The King's Most Excellent Majesty in Council.
Whereas by Section 13 of the Whaling Industry (Regulation) Act,
1934(a) (hereinafter referred to as the Act") it is enacted that His 24 & 25 Geo. Majesty may by Order in Council direct that the provisions of the 5. c. 49.
Act shall extend, with such exceptions, adaptations or modifications,
if any, as may be specified in the Order, to the Isle of Man, any of the
Channel Islands, Newfoundland or to any Colony:
(a) See now S.R. & O. 1941 No. 790, p. 931 below.
