CONCLUSION :

The Chamber, owing to is small membership base, is unable to achieve a status competitive with the General Chamber and American Chamber unless we receive substantial

Government subsidies and

financial support from large member companies

or the Chamber decides to accept members from the general public and becomes a lobbying body similar to the American Chamber. However this might dilute the essential "Britishness" of the Chamber.

When funding from the proposed fund Raising Campaign is exhausted, the Chamber will have to embark on another similar exercise.

We are lucky, funding in the form of underwritings are available. Provided that we expand the Chamber we should seriously consider maximize this opportunity.
