I have the honour to inform you that the foregoing

proposal is acceptable to the Commission of the European

Communities and agree therefore,

therefore, that your Letter,

together with its Annex and this reply, shall constitute an

Agreement between the Government of Hong Kong and the

Commission, which

which shall enter into force on the date on

which the Government of Hong Kong notifies the Commission

that the necessary procedures to give effect to the

Agreement in Hong Kong have been completed.
