I spoke to Amy Tsa in the Hong Kong Economic and Trade office here in Brussola. She explained that following Hong Kong's meeting with the Commission at the end of July the Commission had submitted a final set of written proposals by 15 August. These were mainly concerned with clearing up legal details such as
No Tse said that these proposals were being studies by lawyers in Hong Kong and expected to be able to reply to the Commission by early September. She was optimistic that all details could be finalised by the end of September, the office itself to be opened by van den Brook in October.
3. Ma Tse was very upbeat about the Commission office and obviously feels that all the major difficulties have been ironed out.
