persons in the exercise of their functions as members

of

the staff of the Office, immunity shall continue to

subsist.

19.

The

laissez-passer

Government of Hong Kong recognizes the

issued by the European Communities to

officials of its institutions on official business of

the European Communities in Hong Kong as valid travel

documents.

The Office and'' the Head of the Office

shall have the right to use the flag and emblem of the

European Communities on its premises, including the

residence of the Head of the Office, and on their

means of transport.

20.

Members of the staff of the Office may be called upon

to attend as witnesses in the course of judicial or

administrative proceedings. Subject to the laws of

Hong Kong, members of the staff of the Office are not

obliged to give evidence concerning matters connected

with the exercise of their official functions.

21.

In the event of the death of a member of the staff of

the Office (not permanently resident in Hong Kong) or

a member of his family forming part of his household,

the Hong Kong Government shall permit the withdrawal

of the movable property of the deceased, with the

exception of any property the export of which was

prohibited at the time of his death.
