CONFIDENTIAL

Member States of the European Communities accord the

same rights and diplomatic privileges and immunities

to the Chinese Mission to the European Communities,

to its head and to its members, as well as to the

members of their families forming part of their

respective households.

2. The Chinese Government hereby recognizes the

laissez-passer issued by the Commission to the head

and members of its Delegation as valid travel docu-

ments.

3. The privileges and immunities accorded to the

head and members of the Delegation of the Commission,

as well as to the members of their families forming

part of their respective households, in accordance

with paragraph 1 of this article, shall not be accorded

to persons of Chinese nationality, or to permanent

residents in China.
