As agreed I am enclosing a British Council brief on Hong Kong for the Foreign Secretary.

The brief has been cleared with CRD of FCO.

I

have also attached a note which indicates the whereabouts tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday 9 January, and lists the Chairman's telephone numbers where the Foreign Secretary can contact him. Sir David is returning from Dublin tomorrow and therefore it would be difficult for him to speak on the telephone before about 1630 hours.
