Poinas (Head of Anti-Terrorist Unit, Interior Ministry) telephoned us on 21 October to say that the French authorities had found Saniman. He had returned to his home address (which he had left several weeks ago) Late on 19 October, and had been arrested. He was
now in prison in Yvelines, just outside
Paris.
I am writing to the Directeur de Cabinet of Interior Minister Pasqua to thank him for the Ministry's efforts.

4. This is good and rather unexpected news. The next step is to see whether Saniman will appeal. He has two months in which to do
