Line to take by our Ambassador in Paris to describe to the French our Attorney General's locus in the Saniman Case

-The Saniman case was brought to the attention of the Attorney General by the authorities in Hong Kong. As a British Dependant Territory it would be normal for Hong Kong to do this over such an important case. Furthermore the continued stability and prosperity of Hong Kong is a priority for HMG. To this end it is important that public confidence in the rule of law and the legal system in Hong Kong is maintained.
