will be reimposing an entry visas requirement for Hong Kong, not imposing a new one.
Since learning of this Spanish decision, we have made representations on behalf of Hong Kong to the Spanish authorities at senior level. We would like to see an extension beyond 1 October of travel arrangements which have worked to the advantage of both sides. But this is of course a decision for the Spanish Government to take. We will keep the Hong Kong Government fully informed about the outcome.
