Miss He demonstrates that the comma visa policy

Dear Deborah (which as I understand it will

go further them Schengen) is

already a matter of concern

Schengen Agreements

in

Hong Kong.

We are trying to find out whether the Schengen Agreement will affect the travel convenience of Hong Kong

Distoves

BDTCS and BN (0)s to some of the countries which have 517.

signed the convention implementing the Schengen Agreement.

The Austrian Consul General, at our recent

meeting with him, mentioned this Agreement which, according to him, might change the present visa policy of some European countries. We understand that nine of the EC Member States intend to implement the Agreement, and Greece hopes to accede in the near future. nine states, now require HKBDTCs and BN (0)s visas for entry but some do not. We do not they will adopt a common visa policy in the future and if they do, whether it will be to the disadvantage of HKBDTCS and BN (0)s.

I should be grateful if you

Some of these to have valid know whether

would let us know

what the current position is. There is no immediate pressure on us now, as the Agreement has not yet come to the notice of many people in Hong Kong. But we hope to have sufficient time in advance to consider what action wo can take if any substantial change in the visa requirements on HKBDTCS and BN (0)s is to take place,

Thank you very much for your assistance.
