Prime Minister's Visit to Japan : Mr Jack Edwards

Thank you for your fax of 30 September to Debbie Barnes Jones.

Mr Edwards did indeed hand over a letter to the Prime Minister on 20 September (copy enclosed). As you can see he writes that there are only 25 wives and war widows of ex-servicemen who do not have British citizenship. We have always thought that there were more about 60 in fact. Would it be possible for you to verify the figures for us?
