As you know a Hong Kong Legislative Council delegation will be arriving in London on 7 June 1993 for talks on the British National Overseas passport and the position of the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong.

We attach a copy of our position paper on the plight of the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong. The paper includes our reasons for requesting full British citizenship for the affected ethnic minorities which total some 7,000 people.

We hope you will take the time to read our position paper.

If you have any questions please contact either Ashok Sakhrani on (852) 810-7222 or Ravi Gidumal on (852) 375-0005. Our contact fax number is (852) 375-0009.

Yours sincerely
