Vulnerability and isolation the Chinese authorities have
said that ethnic minorities can apply for Chinese citizenship as well as Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passports after the change of sovereignty.
British Nationality Scheme
the Scheme was not specifically designed to help the ethnic minorities, but some of them have applied and are benefitting. Many run small businesses and such managers have been a high success rate under the Scheme. Clearly there can be no guarantees. All eligible candidates have to compete with each other for a place.
