This seems to place a question mark against the ability of some of those people who are acquiring British citizenship under the British Nationality Selection Scheme to remain in Hong Kong, possibly defeating the whole object of the Scheme. such people (nearly all of them ethnic Chinese) really be at risk of losing their right of abode in Hong Kong? When will the

matter be decided? What are likely to be the residential requirements for such "foreign nationals"? I would appreciate some clarification of the matter either from HKD or Hong Kong

themselves.
