Thank you for your fax message of 13 August to Mrs K L Chow.

To publicize the special arrangements for Hong Kong BDICS to hold concurrently BDTC and EN(0) passports, we are going to add a new paragraph as follows in the Notes for Guidance accompanying the passport application forms :

Dual possession of British_passports

A Hong Kong British Dependent Territories citizen who has been registered as a British National (Overseas) may hold -either only a British National (Overseas)-passport-or-both a British National (Overseas) passport and a British pependent Territories citizen passport at the same time.

Since implementation of the phased programme, we have received a lot of enquiries on how to apply for a BN(0) passport overseas. this connection, I should be grateful if you would send me a copy of your current BN (O) passport application forms (BNO-A, ENO-B & BNO-CAF) and their accompanying Notes for our reference. I also look forward to receiving copies of the revised versions, if any, in due course.
