The Immigration Department would also like to have monthly statistics of late applications approved by overseas posts starting from November this year. This is for monitoring the situation as well as record keeping. I should be grateful if you would request all overseas posts to let Immigration Department have the statistics by the end of each month in your telegram.
You may also wish to ask overseas posts to contact us direct for any number of additional posters and leaflets they need.
Apart from these points I have no comments on your draft telegram. I have copied this letter to the Home Office for their comment on the way I propose that late applications should be dealt with.
