1. Your minute of 15 June: I confirm that we are content with the line to take in para 4 of HK telno 957. It is eminently sensible.

2. On 952, I have minuted separately to Chris Kelly copied to you and others. There were points in his minute which required comment in addition to those I discussed with him on 14 June which resulted in the agreed redraft of Section D. The priority then was to get our presentation to Hong Kong right.

3. I assume that once he has all comments in, Mr Kelly will produce a draft substantive reply to 952 and that we shall see. it before despatch in the usual way.
