As far as the Opposition is concerned, Mr Goodlad has already written to Jack Cunningham and David Steel about the BNQ passport issue. I believe Alistair Goodlad is also writing to the others that the group will see. You may wish to arrange for a Minister either Charles Wardle or Alistair Goodlad - to speak to the Press at some point during the week as well. You might wish to liaise with Edward Bickham about this. Tim Renton, the Chairman of the Anglo-Hong Kong Parliamentary Group is another possibility, although he would need to be carefully briefed.
