Replacement of British Dependent Territory Citizen (BDTC) passports

after June 1997 and [BN (0)] passports July 1997.

How

BDTC passports will expire British National (Overseas) must be issued before 1 Government would phase out the applications of BDTC holders for BN (0) passports to avoid a last minute rush of such applications? What are the definition of BDTC, BN (0) and British Overseas Citizen? What rights are attached to each of these status and what are the implications of X changing from one status to another. A paper on the subject for Members' advance information would be useful.

Nationality of non-Chinese ethnic minorities

On 10 March 1993, the Council supported unanimously the grant of full British nationality to non-Chinese ethnic minorities who are British nationals in Hong Kong. What steps have been/will be taken by the Government to follow this up with the British Government?
