I attach a third draft of the Order which takes account of your latest comments.
On article 4(2) we have devised a slightly different formulation to the one you suggested to try to avoid too many
many "relevant dates".
On your preference for maintaining normal office hours on the final date of each phase, this is not something which commends itself to our legal advisers for enshrining in the Order. You can maintain normal office hours but accept any applications which arrive through your letter box before work starts the following day.
An explanatory note has to be attached to the Order and I am forwarding a draft to you.
Is the Order now to go on hold until you resolve the difficulties with the LegCo Nationality Sub-committee? When is the next meeting with them likely to take place?
