We have also changed, as you requested, the final dates by which applications should be made, to the second last day of the month where the last day falls on a Sunday.

6. In the light of your explanation, we have retained the three months mentioned in Article 4(5).

7. Lastly, in the light

the light of the legal and other objections mentioned in the recent exchange of correspondence, we have not given our overseas posts dispensation to accept applications without regard to the intermediate cut-off dates.

The only other loose end I can see concerns the provision for publicity both in the UK and overseas. Perhaps you could let me know in due course what arrangements the Hong Kong Government intend to make for this and how the publicity will be funded.
