On 10 June, Ram Krishna Tamkrakar, State Minister for Industry and Labour of Nepal, raised with Miss Widdecombe the problem of Nepalese workers whom he claimed were being refused work permits by the Hong Kong authorities. The Minister agreed to
look into this and to write to Mr Tamkrakar.
We have consulted Hong Kong on this matter and I now enclose a self-explanatory draft letter from your Minister to Mr Tamkrakar.
