Following the Private Secretary's minutes of 15 and 19

January on the Secretary of State's Easter travel, I submit a

draft telegram to the post involved asking their views on the

proposed itinerary and requesting programme suggestions. In the

draft telegram I have suggested that it might be possible for

Jakarta to precede Tokyo in the programme, as this would avoid

the need to fly down to Jakarta from Tokyo and back to Seoul again, but the Secretary of State may wish to stick by

his original suggestion of going from Moscow to Tokyo first.
