SECRETARY OF STATE'S PROPOSED VISIT AT EASTER

1 It now looks as if it will not be possible for the Secretary of State to visit the Far East in the week before Easter. Parliament is not due to rise until Maundy Thursday which effectively rules out Long distance travel in that week. Private Office sights are therefore turning towards another part of the world for the week after Easter.

This is disappointing news. A visit at Easter would have been well timed. We will of course let you know as soon as possible if there is any chance of re-scheduling the visit later in the year.
