CHANCELLOR KOHL'S VISIT TO HONG KONG

1.

Neuer (Kohl's Private Secretary) has rang me to say that the Chancellor was very grateful for your offer of help during his visit to Hong Kong. He looked forward to a meeting with you but declined, with thanks, the offer of a dinner.

2. Neuer will be in Hong Kong on 30/31 October to look at the details of the visit. He has agreed that the arrangements for the visit should be made directly between the German Consul-General and the Hong Kong authorities. It would however be appreciated if you could give me a name whom Neuer should contact. He has been Kohl's Private Secretary for a number of years, is senior, pleasant and speaks excellent English.
