Main Developments in the near future

Several main development projects in the District, some

of which related to the Port and Airport Development Scheme

(PADS), are

(a) Belcher Bay Reclamation

This will provide about 10.3 hectares of reclaimed

land for the construction of a dual carriageway (Belcher

Bay Link) to link the existing upgraded Connaught Road West

with Smithfield in Kennedy Town. The project started in

mid-1993 and will complete in early 1996.
