Greatly impressed by the progress on the new airport: it is

taking shape at great speed. A tremendous achievement- one of largest construction projects in the world.

Hope agreement can be reached soon with the Chinese on the

financing package. Important to keep up the momentum on the project. No such thing as a cost free delay.

Important that issues such as the new airport, which are vital to Hong Kong's continuing prosperity, should be considered on their merits.
