The following acceptances have been received to

Mr Francis Cornish's dinner on 7 January.

(a) Mr and Mrs Robert Ng, Head of Sino Land, arguably the

biggest property development company in Hong Kong with enormous

holdings here largely in commercial and residential property. Singaporean Chinese.

(b) Mr Peter Sutch and his companion Gillian Stevens, Chairman of Swire Pacific. Major activities include property, shipping, container port facilities both in Hong Kong and China, Cathay Pacific, Dragonair, services at Kai Tak. Swire have brought

major Chinese companies into Cathay Pacific, Dragonair and their container port activities. They are going hard for services at the new airport. Cathay have just ordered non Rolls-Royce powered aircraft for the first time in their history.

(c) Mr Hamish Mathers CBE: Chairman of the Mass Transit

Railway Corporation, a major buyer of British rolling stock and

equipment. Much involved in new airport, because of its rail

links. MTRC has just announced Hong Kong Dollars 8 billion

refurbishment.

(a) Mr David Tang: well connected businessman, artistic entrepreneur and socialite. Co-owner of Hong Kong China club.

Used to represent Cluff Investment and Trading in Hong Kong.

(e) Mr and Mrs George Magnus: Deputy Chairman Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd. One of most influential persons in Li

Ka-shing's empire outside the immediate family.

(f) Mr and Mrs Mok Ying Kie: Chairman, United Mok Ying Kie Ltd.
