was shifting a little, but for some it would be better to have no agreement. The Minister asked if the Air France dispute would provoke unrest elsewhere. The Ambassador said that it was a special case, though some feared similar action on the Railways. The government was committed to privatising Air France after restructuring it, but had to take account of public anxiety over unemployment.
