SECRETARY OF STATE'S VISIT TO SWEDEN: TALKS WITH SWEDISH PRIME MINISTER, 27 APRIL
1 The Secretary of State had an hour's talks with Prime Minister Bildt, followed by a joint press conference, on the final morning of his visit to Sweden. My three IFTs (not to all) cover the discussions on:
North Korea
Yugoslavia
Sweden/EC
There was also a short exchange on UK Maastricht and EEA ratification. The Secretary of State described the recent good progress the Maastricht Bill and the prospects for its completion before the summer recess.

Bildt also reported briefly on his recent visit to Hong Kong. He had been somewhat encouraged even Martin Lee had for once
spoken with optimism.
