The meaning of resident for the purposes of this Part would require definition which should be consistent with the definitions in other intellectual property laws in Hong Kong.

CONVENTION COUNTRIES
Orders by the Governor as to convention countries
This clause will declare that those countries specified in Schedule 5 of the proposed Patents Bill are deemed to be relevant treaty countries and provide for the Governor to add to or alter such Schedule as necessary to enable Hong Kong to comply with its relevant treaty obligations.

Appeal from the Registrar
This clause will provide that an appeal shall lie to the High Court of Hong Kong from any decision of the Registrar where a right of appeal lies to the court.
105.
General powers of the court
This clause will provide that the court may for the purpose of determining any question in exercise of its jurisdiction under the proposed Patents Bill make any order or exercise any other power which the Registrar could have made for the purpose of determining that question.
