1. I enclose a copy of a holding reply I have sent to Hong Kong in response to Mrs Chok's letter of 1 December which was copied to you under cover of my letter of 6 December.

Before Christmas, I should like to let Hong Kong have substantive replies on all the outstanding issues which their correspondence on intellectual property matters has raised over the past few months. I should therefore be appreciate it if you could let me have a reply to my letter of 6 December, Mr Bunten's letter of 4 August and a substantive reply to my letter of 28 May (your letter of 7 June refers).
