EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This Note is not part of the Order.)
This Order confers the legal capacities of a body corporate and exemption from direct taxes on the International Fund for Ireland. It gives effect to Article 5(2) of the Agreement between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland concerning the International Fund for Ireland signed at Dublin and London on 18th September 1986 (Cmnd. 9908).

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 28 of the Nuclear Installations Act 1965 (a) and section 33 of the Energy Act 1983(b), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Nuclear Installations (Hong Kong) (Amendment) Order 1986.
(2) This Order shall come into operation on 25th November 1986.
2. Article 2 of the Nuclear Installations (Hong Kong) Order 1983(c) is amended-
(a) by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting the following new para-
graph-
"(1) In subsection (1) of section 21 of the 1965 Act (compensation in respect of carriage), for the words "equivalent to £2,100,000 sterling" there shall be substituted the words “which is equivalent in Hong Kong dollars (on the day, or first day, of that occurrence) to 5 million special drawing rights" ";
