LEGISLATIVE PROGRAMME 1993/1994

There has been some slippage in the timetable for consideration of this matter by the Cabinet. It was originally intended that FLGS proposals for the 1993/1994 programme would be considered at Cabinet on 1 April. Unfortunately the meeting of FLG Committee scheduled for last week was cancelled and took place yesterday. This means that the Legislative Programme will not now be considered at the meeting of Cabinet on 1 April. The Cabinet Office inform me that consideration of the subject by Cabinet will not take place until after Easter, probably on 22 April.

The Secretary of State will need to be briefed for the discussion in Cabinet and once the proposals from FLG emerge I shall be asking Departments to provide me with contributions for briefing the Secretary of State.
