Dear Mr Parker,
Hague Convention on the law applicable to trusts and on their recognition
Thank you for your telefax of 25 March 1993 as well as
for your letter which arrived today.
We have immediately consulted the depositary
(Mrs Jacqueline Bredt) concerning the problem which you submitted to us. The depositary fully agrees with your proposal, and so do we. We would therefore recommend that you send a note to the depositary along the lines of what you state in the last paragraph of page 1 of your letter extending the Convention to the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Island of Guernsey, subject to the reservation under Article 16 and the declaration under Article 20 (for both territories), as well as stating that, for the avoidance of doubt, the reservation in Article 16(2) and the declaration under Article 20 also apply to Hong Kong and Montserrat.
rély,
Yours sincerely,
J.H.A. van Loon
