As regards a detailed legislative timetable for putting into effect both our adaptation and localisation of laws programmes, I attach at Annex A a tentative programine for introducing all 29 localising bills expected to be required before 1997, and at Annex B a short note setting out our estimate of the number of adaptation bills and how this has been arrived at. If you agree to the approach, we will try to arrange for enough legislative slots to be reserved over the next 3 to 4 years, and aim for an even spread of the slots during each legislative session. will similarly localising bills in the 1994-95 and 1995-96 sessions.
